QCAA — forbidden to foreign visitors (Law No. 10/2026)

Qatar explicitly bans foreign visitors, including short-stay tourists, from flying drones: there is no tourist permit available.

Tourist flying effectively not allowed

The official QCAA page lists requirements for authorized operators (Qatar-registered companies, minimum age 18, max 5 drones, insurance) that in practice exclude short-term tourists, although the page does not contain an explicit statement banning tourists. Those merely transiting through Doha airport without leaving it do not need a permit, but anyone visiting the country should leave the drone at home.

Zones to avoid

No-fly zones usually follow the same recurring categories (airports, military sites, protected areas, historic centers). For this country: Effective ban for foreigners/tourists; customs confiscates unauthorized drones.
